Acoustic EDM. 

Acoustic EDM is a collaboration project by four university students studying at SAE Institute, Sydney.

There are two audio students and two film students.

The project consists of three songs all with accompanying video clips. The three songs are different electronic dance music genres; psytrance, drum and bass and ambient chill. The videos are to suit each song.

Why is this different to any other EDM release?
Although our songs are all EDM genres, we have made each one with little to no synthesis and concentrated on achieving an acoustic feel by recording all our own sounds naturally. The two audio students recorded the samples either at SAE studios or on location.

Each song has a matching video clip which has been recorded and produced by the two film students. There will also be a small documentary with the release. This is footage that has been shot behind scenes during the making of the music.

We hope this inspires other EDM producers to put down the software and pick up a microphone.

To help inspire a little more, we have also included a sample pack full of the samples recorded over the production of this CD single, they are free to use within your own productions.
